| الملخص: | This study aims to highlight the main problems caused by linguistic and cultural
differences when translating religious texts from Arabic to Malay. It attempts to
explore the techniques used by translators to overcome these problems by using
“Riyadhussalihin” as a model. It adopts a descriptive-analysis method to describe
aspects of the problems and techniques of translation in selected prophetic texts.
These texts are then analyzed to clarify the problems and techniques of translation
employed to overcome them. The researcher found out that some of the techniques
used are successful in producing good and understood texts. However, some of them
fail to do so as the translation still needs to be reviewed and refined |
