| 总结: | This research studies the issue of semantic development in the Arabic language in general and in computer terminology in particular. It also seeks to establish the semantic development of those computing terms. This selection of terms studied is closely scrutinized to make sure the terms are from Arab origin rather than Arabized. The researcher analyses those terms with the help of the dictionaries to find out their meanings within a social custom. He also relies on modern dictionaries and encyclopedias technology to determine their current meaning. A comparison is carried out to see the similarities and differences between those terms. The analysis of these terms also examines the developmental aspects of semantics since some of the terms can be transferred in an advance manner in one area to another. It also found that some of them have evolved from a circular motion to the allocation and vice versa, some from sensory to the abstract. Finally, the researcher has concluded that the computer terms as diversed as the authors who came up with those terms, who could not agree on them except for a few employed. Therefore, only those which received consensus and used in windows are selected. |
