| الملخص: | In this thesis,a cross-layer approach to incorporate a collaborative beamforming method into IEEE 802.11 based WMNs has been proposed to improve the overall network eficiency in rural areas. The objectives of this research are to introduce collaborative beamforming based IEEE 802.11 WMNs in rural areas for improving overall network capacity. This study also proposed a new MAC scheme which allows nodes using collaborative beamforming based multi-hop transmission in iEEE 802.11 WMNs to have fair access to the wireless medium.
