الملخص:The tourism sector is one ofthe world most rapidly growing industry. One of the main challenges faced by Malaysia today is to attract and retain skilled working females. It is important to analyse the factors which most female workers face during the development of their careers in order to increase the number of females involved in tourism. Although tourism is one of the main contributors to Malaysia's economic growth, studies on female workers in the tourism industry are yet still limited. In order to meet the objectives of this research, two research questions and six hypotheses were developed and tested. This research used convenient sampling techniques. The research instrument used was questionnaire, where 150 questionnaires were used for data analysis which was collected from the targeted female respondents in Peninsular Malaysia. Statistical Package software for Social Science (SPSS) was used to analyse the data. Reliability analysis, descript analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis was conducted to identify the results ofthis research. The results from this research shows that organizational commitment, compensation, promotion, work-life balance, and social support are significantly and positively related towards job involvement of female workers in tourism industry whereas physical working conditions is not significant and has negative relationship with job involvement of female workers in tourism industry.
