Summary:This research studies the educational supervision in Libya and its role in elevating the level of competence among educators in Tarablus from the supervisors’ perspective. It also analyses in depth the reality and status of interpersonal relations between supervisors and educators, while identifying the most important positive relations that exists among them and eventually, helps in establishing the intended relations. The research also seeks for information regarding the effect of disparity in gender, level of education and teaching experience, on the execution of modern education theory during the supervision. The researcher – in this research- has conducted a survey on 190 educational supervisors (112 male and 78 female), whom are also educators in various educational institutions around Tarablus, Libya for the academic year 2011/2012. The researcher has randomly chosen the sample survey to balance between male and female. He tested the relations that exist between the reality of educational supervisions and its urge for modernization in its objectives, tasks and methods of supervision. The researcher used “T-test” technique on each of the respondents in getting their opinions. Analysis shows that the Libyan Department of Educational Supervision strives towards realizing the urge of modernization in educational process to enhancing job performance and ideas among educators through diversification in techniques, objectives and clarity in educational tasks.
