Summary: | This field study aims to assess the potential relationships between HR practices and organizational citizenship behaviour in private sector institutions in the Sultanate of Oman.It also aims to study the interactive role of organizational behaviour in increasing the leverage in previous relationships. The researcher used the analytical descriptive approach by collecting data from 413 participants from the private sector institutions in the Sultanate of Oman , and using several advanced statistical methods , including the use of SPSS , the empirical analysis and the structural model equation. In order to study causal relationships , the researcher adopted the model structural equation using the AMOS program , which is characterized by comparing its analogies from the traditional statistical methods in being able to test a series of complex variables simultaneously , taking into account the intermediate variables , if any . The result of the analysis revealed that human resource management practices have a direct causal relationship to the behaviour of organizational citizenship , and that organizational behaviour plays as a mitigating factor for the indirect relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable . This finding shows that there is a direct and indirect relationship between human resources management practices and organization citizenship behaviour in private sector institutions in the Sultanate of Oman . Furthermore , there is a clear disparity in the practices of human resources management provided by private sector instiitutions and policities towards the community , indicating that it did not reach the degree of full sense of organizational citizenship as a result of the lack of awareness and response to all the wishes and aspirations of the community. |
